P2P

P2P-friendly VPN servers

Peer-to-peer traffic needs servers that allow it. VPN Safe runs P2P-friendly locations so BitTorrent and other P2P clients can connect without hitting a silent block.

Encrypt the tunnel, hide your IP from the swarm, and pick a server that will not drop your transfers.

01 Allowed

P2P is allowed

Many VPN providers block torrents on most of their network. VPN Safe keeps P2P-friendly servers so your client can talk to peers instead of stalling on a filtered exit.

Connect to a P2P-enabled location, leave WireGuard or OpenVPN on, and run your client as usual.

02 Privacy

Your IP stays off the swarm

Without a VPN, every peer and tracker sees the IP your ISP gave you. With VPN Safe, they see the server IP instead.

We do not keep connection logs. Your transfer history is not sitting in our files.

03 Blocks

Bypass ISP throttling

Some ISPs slow or shape BitTorrent once they spot it. An encrypted tunnel makes that traffic look like a VPN session, not a torrent fingerprint on the wire.

If a network is filtering VPN ports too, step to OpenVPN TCP or Stealth Mode.

In detail

Torrents, blocks, and P2P servers

The cards above are the short pitch. Below is how P2P traffic works on a VPN, and how to avoid the usual traps.

Servers

Use a P2P-allowed server

Not every VPN exit is built for BitTorrent. Some providers disable P2P on most cities and only leave a handful open. On those blocked exits, peers never connect and your download sits at zero.

VPN Safe keeps P2P-friendly servers in the network. Pick one of those locations before you start the client. If a city is not marked for P2P, choose another — do not assume every pin on the map accepts torrent traffic.

WireGuard is usually the best protocol for this: fast enough to keep up with a busy swarm, light on the CPU, and simple to leave on.

Blocks

What actually gets blocked

Blocks show up in a few places. Your ISP may throttle known torrent ports or DPI-flag BitTorrent handshakes. A university or hotel network may drop P2P outright. A VPN provider may forbid torrents on that server so the data-centre host stays happy.

A VPN helps with the first two: encryption hides the fingerprint from the network in front of you, and the exit IP is the VPN’s, not yours. It does not help if you connect to a VPN city that itself blocks P2P — that is why the server choice matters.

If even the VPN is being filtered on a strict network, move to OpenVPN TCP or Stealth Mode so the handshake looks more like ordinary web traffic.

Torrents

How to run torrents on VPN Safe

Connect the VPN first. Confirm the IP changed — you can use our What’s my IP page — then open your torrent client. Bind the client to the VPN adapter if your app supports it, so a dropped tunnel cannot leak traffic back onto your real connection.

Unlimited bandwidth is included. You are not metering a long seed or a large download against a fair-use cap. Keep the protocol on WireGuard unless the network forces you onto OpenVPN or Stealth.

Only use P2P for lawful content. VPN Safe encrypts the path and hides your IP; it does not change what you are allowed to download or share where you live.

  • Lawful use only
Setup

A simple checklist

Start with a P2P-friendly city. Turn the VPN on and wait until the status shows connected. Check that your public IP matches the server. Then start the torrent client.

If peers will not connect, try another P2P location or switch protocol. If the whole VPN fails on that Wi-Fi, use OpenVPN TCP or Stealth, then retry. Port forwarding is not required for most clients on VPN Safe — the tunnel is enough.

Still stuck? Support is open around the clock. Tell us the city, the protocol, and the client you use, and we will help you get a working path.

Why VPN Safe

Built for everyday privacy

VPN Safe encrypts your connection, replaces your IP, and runs on the devices you already use — phone, laptop, Android TV, and Firestick. WireGuard for speed, OpenVPN when a network is awkward, Stealth when something is blocking VPNs.

No connection logs. Unlimited bandwidth. One account for the household. A VPN you pay for, so the product is privacy — not your browsing history.

What you get No logs · WireGuard · 6 Devices 57 cities · Unlimited bandwidth · 24/7 support
01 Watch

Streaming that keeps up

Connect to a UK server and keep BBC iPlayer, Netflix, and Prime Video in the picture — on the phone or on the big screen with our Android TV and Firestick apps.

02 Speed

Fast enough to leave on

WireGuard is the everyday default: light, quick, and stable on phones. Unlimited bandwidth means you are not metering a commute, a film, or a download.

03 Identity

An IP you choose

Websites and advertisers see the server location you picked, not the one your ISP assigned. 57 cities across 39 countries — pick for privacy, streaming, or travel.

04 Privacy

RAM only

Our VPN servers run entirely in RAM — nothing is written to disk. A reboot wipes the slate clean, so there is nowhere for connection data to linger.

05 Simple

Connect in one tap

Install the app, sign in, hit Auto (Fastest). No hunting through a server list every time you leave the house — unless you want to pick a city yourself.

06 Privacy

No logs policy

We do not keep connection logs. Your traffic is encrypted before it leaves the device, and what you do online is not sitting in our files.

Locations

57 cities. Pick the one that fits.

Our network spans 39 countries, so you can choose a nearby city for a short, fast path — or hop to another region when you need a different IP. Streaming UK catch-up? Connect to a UK server. Travelling and want home-country access? Pick that city instead. Same login on every device; the map is just how you choose where your traffic exits.
